Welcome To Our Survey

Welcome to our Short Online Survey for Acomb Methodist Church.

We are in the process of developing a large area to the rear of our church to create a quiet garden, which we hope will serve the York area.  In addition to creating a space for our local community to enjoy, we would also like to offer the space for those seeking a warm, comfortable, spiritual space and retreat.

The Church is served well by buses, which connect to the railway station, and although the church itself has limited parking, there is on street parking and a large car park at Moirrisons a 5 minute walk away.  We hope this means that we are a convenient and accessible venue for lots of people.  For more information and pictures of the church go to www.acombmethodistchurch.org.uk

We hope you will participate in this survey to help us understand how the garden might be used, as an individual or group retreat space, or indeed as a venue for other purposes.
Many thanks for your time

Rev Andy Lindley (Minister)
We cleared the garden late in 2014, clearing brambles, shrubs and thinning trees.  We levelled the site, and dug it over, finally marking out the paths.  In spring we began to plant the beds with wild flowers, vegetables and lawns.   Various groups have taken responsibility for different beds, but we hope others might join us.  We are beginning to see the fruit from out labours.  Hard landscaping and garden buildings awaits formal planning approval.
